During elementry school Hannah was a member of a Girl Scout Troop out of Highlands Elementry School. Longing for more interaction, as Scouting America (formally known as Boy Scouts) allowed the admission of girls, Hannah became a founding member of BSA Troop 5062 out of Edina. As part of 5062, Hannah served as the troops first patrol leader and eventually the troop's outdoor ethics guide. She attended Many Point Scount Camp in Ponsford twice. In addition to her adventures at Many Points, Hannah also attended and served as a CIT at Bear Paw Scout Camp in Mountain, WI. She completed her first six ranks with Troop 5062 before transferring to Venture Crew 3111 (commonly known as the Green Crew). With the Green Crew, Hannah went on to receive her Eagle Scout in January of 2025. Throughout her scouting journey Hannah has also participated in a high adventure trip to Sea Base as well as a trip with Venture Crew 3111 to speak at the 2022 National Outdoor Ethics Conference.
Hannah founded the Green Crew in 2021 as the youth program of the Minnesota Valley Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America. Through a variety of projects, the Green Crew works to combat climate anxiety, defend the earth, and conserve nature. Run by youth for youth, Hannah currently serves as the Green Crew's Vice President. Green Crew's Earth Day 2023 Project, the Elm Tree Reforestation Project, was organized by Hannah in partnership with the University of Minnesota. The project was the first field test of American elm trees identified as resistence to Dutch Elm Disease. Hannah directed 500 volunteers over the course of the two days in planting 83 elm trees. During the summer, Hannah has served as the Program Director of the Green Crew's "Green Summer" program, which offers conservation service to the larger community as well as enviormental education to school groups.
